The Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary Prologue is a box-pressed Robusto built to honor a brand born in Cuba’s golden age of cigar-making. At its original factory, lectors read passages from Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” reminding their rollers that cigars, like stories, should made with the same love and attention. This anniversary release carries that spirit forward. It features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper fermented by AJ Fernandez, a San Andres binder from the Turrent family, and fillers from Honduras and Peru grown by the Plasencias, alongside Dominican tobacco from Jose Mendez & Co. This gorgeous cigar is rolled at Tabacalera de Garcia using a process that’s never been used before. From the first draw expect charred cedar, ground cinnamon, dark-roasted coffee, and a hint of fruit.
